Two new books has become available to the histotechnologist. The College of American Pathologist launched the textbook,Histologic Preparations: Common Problems and Their Solutions. This book was co authored by several histotechnologist members of the HistoQIP Committee from CAP. Histotechnology: A Self-Instructional Text from Freida Carson & Christa Hladik has been completly updated in the new 3rd edition covering chapters on immunohistochemistry, molecular techniques and cytopreparation.

Licensure renewal Notifications have been mailed by the Depatment of Health. Your Clinical Laboratory License will expire on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. To renew log onto www.FLHealthsource.com.
